"Most shipper’s have no idea what constitutes DG for transport, let alone thinking about declaration when wrapping the prezzies prior to dispatch. But in that consignment of “gifts” there may be perfumes, aerosols, Christmas crackers (or bon bons if you’re posh), paints and adhesives if you’re into models, and of course, batteries. This brings us back to transport’s favorite problem child, lithium batteries. Stringent safety regulations apply to the transport of lithium batteries so the risk can be managed. Spread the word to your shippers and always be on the lookout for undeclared DG in your shipments."
