Currently there is no approval system for DG by Road training apart for a Bulk Dangerous Goods Drivers License.

Drivers of non-bulk goods, contractors, shippers and suppliers of dangerous goods by road have a duty of care and responsibility to be informed about the requirements of the Australian Dangerous Goods Code.

The validation period of your qualification is while the current ADG is valid.  Therefore you must renew before the new ADG becomes mandatory, which is every two years.
