Dangerous Goods by Road

This course assists organizations transporting dangerous goods by road, and road freight industry personnel, to interpret and apply the Australian Code for the Transport of Dangerous Goods by Road and Rail. This course is designed to provide comprehensive training in the theory and practical aspects of shipping dangerous goods by road. Throughout the course, you will examine the code and learn a systematic approach to packaging and documenting a hazardous shipment for road transport. There are plenty of follow-up exercises to reinforce the knowledge acquired and to ensure all Australian regulations are complied with.

  • Naming dangerous goods

  • Packaging selection

  • Bulk and intermediate bulk containers

Course Qualification and Recognition

A certificate is issued on successful completion of an end-of-course questionnaire.
Currently there is no approval system for DG by Road training apart for a Bulk Dangerous Goods Drivers License.

Drivers of non-bulk goods, contractors, shippers and suppliers of dangerous goods by road have a duty of care and responsibility to be informed about the requirements of the Australian Dangerous Goods Code.

The validation period of your qualification is while the current ADG is valid.  Therefore you must renew before the new ADG becomes mandatory, which is every two years.
