DANGEROUS GOODS BY AIR and SEA - The Christmas Edition.

Yes.  It’s that time of year and we are rapidly approaching Christmas!  The time of year when the freight industry turns critical – Argh (radioactive joke).  And, it’s time for Airsafe to release DG posters numbers 2 and 3, the Christmas Editions.

Ship Alone – (for hidden DG in sea freight) and

Ship Alone 2 – (for hidden Li Batteries in air freight)

In the spirit of giving (all year), we are making the Hidden DG movie posters available free of charge for download from our website.   We will release one a month over the next 12 months.

Whilst the posters still bear our logo, we’ve stripped all the Airsafe course promo info off the posters available on our website.  So, you can download them, and/or print them out, and use them to spread the word of vigilance for hidden DG in freight.  Or just use them as Christmas decorations (LOL).  We only ask that the Airsafe name and logo is not removed and, due to the recent “You post it we own it” Twitter (X) Terms of Service, do not post them to Twitter (X).

Most shipper’s have no idea what constitutes DG for transport, let alone thinking about declaration when wrapping the prezzies prior to dispatch.  But in that consignment of “gifts” there may be perfumes, aerosols, Christmas crackers (or bon bons if you’re posh), paints and adhesives if you’re into models, and of course, batteries.  This brings us back to transport’s favourite problem child, lithium batteries.  Stringent safety regulations apply to the transport of lithium batteries so the risk can be managed.  Spread the word to your shippers and always be on the lookout for undeclared DG in your shipments.

Seasons Greetings,

The Airsafe Team
