Transporting Dry Ice by Air

Purpose

This short course is designed to satisfy the training requirements of Australian Civil Aviation Safety Regulation CASR 92.085 for Group F employees limited to the shipment of Dry Ice by air.

 

What you obtain

This course provides instruction on Australian dangerous goods Aviation legislation, acceptance of non-dangerous cargo, recognition of hidden hazards, identification, correct preparation and documentation of dry ice and a overview of other dangerous goods you need to watch for.


The syllabus is in accordance with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) regulations. The IATA regulations are not required to complete this course.

You can enter and leave the course as many times as you like without losing what you have done. You will also have access to the course content until you require recertification.

​

Courses should be started and completed within a three month period of initial registration or before your existing certification expires to ensure validity.

Course Qualification and Recognition

This course is approved by:

  • The Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia (CASA).  – Approvals can be found in the menu above.

 

A certificate is issued on successful completion of an end-of-course questionnaire and the qualification is valid for TWO YEARS.
The course is developed and controlled by CASA approved dangerous goods instructors.

Who Should Attend?

The courses are suitable for anyone who is required to ship dry ice by air either as a dangerous good or as a refrigerant.
The course does not allow you to ship any other dangerous goods apart from Dry Ice by air.

Level of Competency

Participants must have basic levels of literacy, numeracy and English comprehension. No previous experience with air transport is required.

Course Fee

  • Online: AUD $90.00 + GST $9.00 = $99.00 Total

  • Online training – 3 hours approx.

We can schedule Virtual courses or classroom courses in Adelaide, Brisbane, Darwin, Melbourne, Perth & Sydney at request, but we’ll go (almost) anywhere. (Dependent on number of participants and availability)
