Dangerous Goods By Air:
Refresher – for acceptance trained personnel

Purpose

You’ll need to complete this course when your Dangerous Goods Acceptance (Initial) qualification is due to expire. This course renews your existing qualification for a further two (2) years. You’ll also learn of changes and new principles adopted by international and Australian authorities since your last course.

Note: This course can only be done if your qualification is still current. It must be completed WITHIN the last three months of your qualification expiring, in order to add an additional two years to your existing expiry date and CANNOT be completed after expiry.

If you let your qualification lapse then you require another initial course.

What you obtain

Classroom
This course is a workshop to review the theory and practical aspects of shipping dangerous goods by air, to investigate problems the participants may encounter when shipping dangerous goods by air, and to examine changes to the Regulations.

Online
This short course provides information to remind the user of what is in the IATA DGR and of the changes that have occurred over the last two years.  It requires the user to review their knowledge of the IATA DGR and complete a full assessment on completion of the modules.  Adequate time must be left to complete this online course as it is a comprehensive review of the material and if the user allows their expiry date to elapse a full course must be resat.
