Dangerous Goods By Sea, Full Accept- Two Day Course or On-line

Purpose
Come along and learn how to interpret and apply the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) code and Australian Maritime Orders (AMO) to shipments of hazardous material being sent by sea. Full compliance with the Code and Orders, plus an understanding of the concepts behind them, will ensure the safety of maritime shipping (and of course the marine environment), and ensure that international laws are not broken.

The course is designed to provide comprehensive training in the theory and practical aspects of shipping dangerous goods by sea. It examines the IMDG Code and provides you with a systematic approach to packaging and documenting a hazardous shipment for sea transport. You'll have plenty of follow-up exercises to reinforce the knowledge acquired.

Course Qualification and Recognition

This course is approved by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) - approval number 5127 as meeting the criteria of the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) training requirements under section 1.3.1.2 and 1.3.1.5.

AMSA advise that whenever the IMDG is updated, refresher training shall be undertaken to cover the changes made to that publication. Therefore current training is valid until 31 December 2011.
