Aviation Security for Regulated Air Cargo Agents - One Day Course or Recognition of Current Competency (RCC)

Purpose

This course provides DOTARS Regulated Air Cargo Agents (RACA) with the processes and information necessary to comply with the Federal Department of Transport and Regional Services (DOTARS) Aviation Transport Security Programme (TSP). Full compliance with the Programme and an understanding of the concepts will ensure aviation safety, and protect shippers and their agents from unknowingly committing unlawful acts.

Course Qualification and Recognition

This course is approved by:

  • The Regulated Air Caro Agent Training Organisation Quality Assurance Service.

A certificate is issued on successful completion of a participant competency assessment and the qualification is valid for TWO YEARS.

Level of Competency

RACA 1 - Follow air cargo security awareness procedures.
Required for warehouse and clerical staff, drivers and other staff involved with handling, loading, stowing or processing domestic or international air cargo.
No other RACA entry levels required

RACA 2 & 3 (combined) - Examine international and domestic air cargo in preparation for reciving clearance by a Cargo Terminal Operator (CTO) or Airline Operator.
Required for air cargo personnel booking freight, handling regular customers, examining cargo and implementing air cargo security measures within an organisation.
RACA 1 entry level required

  • Classroom training and assessment RACA 1 - $110.00 (Incl GST)
  • Classroom training and assessment RACA 1, 2 & 3 combined - $220.00 (Incl GST)
  • Assessment only based on Recognition of Current Competency (RCC) - contact AIRSAFE for structure and costs.

Assessment only is available to industry personnel holding an existing qualification or with existing work history. Participants seeking RCC must be able to provide evidence to support their assessment.
